Autoclave the non-sterile versions or purchase the EtO Sterile versions for compounding of sterile preparations in compliance with USP 797.

  • SGS-Tested for US and EU food contact standards
  • Multiple sizes for diverse applications

Versatile polypropylene tools provide endless utility in the lab, including transferring, handling, and manipulating a variety of chemicals and biological materials.

  • Look for the V at the neck.™
  • Polypropylene is autoclavable, resistant to dilute acids and bases, and won’t shatter after exposure to liquid nitrogen frozen samples.
  • Hollow core uses less plastic than other spatulas and minimizes heat or cold transfer.
  • Double-ended design to scoop, scrape, spoon, stir, collect, transfer, handle or manipulate a variety of biological or chemical materials.
  • SGS-Tested for US and EU food contact standards.
  • Available EtO sterilized.
  • Multiple sizes for diverse applications. Antistatic micro for manipulating extremely small quantities fits into 0.2 mL tubes. Utilitarian standard fits into 0.5 mL and 15 mL tubes. Macro allows easier access to large containers, has a clump busting pick, and fits into 15 mL and 50 mL tubes. Short is useful in smaller spaces and fits into 0.5 mL and 15 mL tubes.
  • Sustainability – LevGo plants a tree for every case sold.

LevGo spatulas are widely used in commercial, university, diagnostic and pharmaceutical labs worldwide as well as by compounding pharmacists to produce customized medications.

EcoSpatulas are 99% polypropylene (PP) resin and 1% EcoPure® organic additive, which helps promote biodegradation of PP. Representative samples of our EcoSpatulas and our standard 100% PP spatulas were tested according to the ASTM D5511 test method (intended to replicate conditions in biologically active landfills). EcoSpatulas biodegraded an average of 29% in the first 586 days of testing compared to 8% for standard 100% PP spatulas. Tests were conducted using 48% solids content, which is not typical; solids content in naturally wetter landfills range from 55% to 65%, while the driest landfills may reach 93%. Actual biodegradation rates will vary in biologically active landfills according to the solids content, temperature, and moisture level of the landfill.EcoSpatulas retain all the original properties and shelf life of our standard PP spatulas: they are autoclavable, resistant to dilute acids and bases, and FDA compliant for food contact. They will not degrade during use. It is only after extended exposure to the microbes in a biologically active landfill that they begin to break down and eventually turn into inert humus and natural gases.

Important Notice: Laws in California, Maryland, and Washington prohibit the sale of certain products and packaging that are labeled with the terms “biodegradable”, “degradable”, or “decomposable” or any form of those terms, or that imply in any way that the item will break down, biodegrade, or decompose in a landfill or other environment. These restrictions apply to all sales in or into these states, including such sales over the Internet. Our EcoSpatula product packaging meets the requirements of California, Maryland, and Washington.
