Spherical lead free soda lime glass beads are available for use with the Disruptor Genie® or TurboMix™ attachment (used with any Vortex-Genie® 2 Mixer) for optimal disruption of cells. Each unit may be used in cold rooms or incubators, and can hold up to twelve 1.5ml or 2.0ml microtubes.
Two bead sizes are available:
0.1mm diameter beads — Bacteria
0.5mm diameter beads — Yeast/Fungi
