Double - Safe™ thermometers are the same as Easy-Read™ thermometers in that they feature the same black Enviro-Safe™ liquid and same yellow back lead free glass, but Double - Safe™ thermometers also feature Teflon™ coating making the thermometer less sensitive to breakage. In the event that the thermometer does break, the liquid in the thermometer and the glass itself are contained within the Teflon™. This reduces the hazards of mercury and sample contamination.
Each unit comes with individual serial numbers and a Statement of Accuracy indicating accuracy traceable to NIST (USA) and DKD (Europe). These thermometers are made in the USA by H-B Instrument Company - an ISO 9001:2000 company.
Thermometer should be stored at a 15™ angle minimum.
